WHY CHOOSE CROSSOVER BALLET?

More Than Ballet Lessons

We offer a warm, encouraging environment where every child is welcomed, known and treated with gentleness and respect. Classes are taught by Katie Lepine, a graduate of Tulsa Ballet's pre-professional program who is classically trained in the Vaganova technique, so your dancer learns real ballet from the very first class.

Each class is designed for its age group, from Creative Movement for 3-year-olds to Ballet Fundamentals for ages 8 and up, with excellent instruction in a fun, engaging atmosphere. Every class ends in prayer, and every season ends on stage. Whether your child dreams of dancing for years or is simply ready to try something new, Crossover Ballet is where they belong, right here in North Tulsa.

Questions from families

Frequently Asked Questions

What ages can join Crossover Ballet?

Children ages 3 and up. Creative Movement is for ages 3-5, Preparatory I and II are for ages 6-8, and Ballet Fundamentals is for ages 8 and up.

How much does it cost?

$200 for the full year. That includes weekly classes, a ballet uniform, a snack after every class, and a costume for the spring performance. You can pay all at once or in installments through TeamSnap.

Where are classes held?

At the Crossover Community Center. Please check your dancer in at the front desk before class.

What does my dancer wear?

The Crossover Ballet uniform: leotard, tights, skirt, and ballet slippers. Hair should be in a neat ballet bun or pulled away from the face, with shorter hair pinned back. No jewelry, please. Tights are worn as the undergarment, and ballet slippers should never be worn outside.

What should we bring?

Bring all ballet gear in the dance bag, and label everything with your dancer's name.

Can parents watch class?

To help dancers stay focused, parents and guardians wait outside the classroom during class. You'll see everything they've learned at the spring performance.

What if we're running late?

Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes early. Dancers who are more than 10 minutes late may not be able to join class. If you're late, have your dancer put on their slippers in the hallway so class isn't interrupted.

What if my dancer will miss class?

Please let Mrs. Lepine know before class if your dancer is sick. Absences due to illness are handled case by case.

What happens if class is canceled?

If class is canceled for illness or weather, you'll be notified by 3 p.m. Cancellations are posted in TeamSnap and as a special announcement at the top of this page.

Can I drop off early or pick up late?

Please drop off and pick up on time. Instructors can't supervise children before or after class.

Is Crossover Ballet a faith-based program?

Yes. Crossover Ballet is a program of Crossover Community Impact, a Christian organization committed to restoring our community through reconciliation, love, and justice. Classes focus on ballet and end with prayer.

When is the spring performance?

Friday, May 21, at 6 p.m., and Saturday, May 22, at 3 p.m.

How will I get updates from Mrs. Lepine?

Class updates, schedule changes, and cancellations are posted in TeamSnap and as special announcements on this page, so please check both regularly.

Who do I contact with questions?

Email Mrs. Lepine at katiel@crossoverimpact.org.

Can my child still join this season?

Yes, during the fall semester. We accept new dancers on a rolling basis through the fall. Enrollment closes for the spring semester so our dancers can focus on preparing for the spring recital.

My child is 6 to 8. Which class is right for them?

Preparatory I is for dancers who are new to ballet or on the younger side. Preparatory II is for dancers who have taken ballet before and are ready for more.

When does the season start and end?

Classes begin the week after Labor Day and run through the end of May. We follow the Crossover Preparatory Academy academic calendar for holidays and breaks. View the academic calendar.
